it would be a good idea to use an inch pound torque wrench on those little fella's and take Sandys advice and torque to 7 ft lbs X 12 = 84 inch lbs.
I too have stripped 6mm bolts on my kz900 cam caps.Its not a good feeling.

i did it last night followed by a slew of curse words and thrown wrenches. i think i'll go with 8 lbs instead of 16 if it were not for this site i would have never guessed the kz's had such a knowledged and faithful following. well it's off to work for me once again thanks for all the advice it's been much help
