cam timing HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so i just embarked on replacing the head gasket. before i pull the cams out what kind of marking should i do. and yes i know the repair manuals are priceless i have one on order but my A.D.D. kicked in and i'm hell bent on getting it done.

Take the spark plugs out and the points cover off. Rotate the engine by hand (wrench on the crankshaft) to TDC and look for where the arrows or line marks on the camshaft wheels are pointing. There is usually a mark on the timing advancer to align TDC, mine is cleverly marked "T".:laugh:
