so i have not slept since yesterday stayed up all night to get the valves lapped and everything put in the head got it all together and pit it on the bike got it in time bolted everything up went to the dealer and got oil/filter/plugs and a new clutch/perch. got home drained the oil pulled the pan cleaned it out bolted it back up put the oil in put the new plugs in and i have really good compression...so i try starting the bike with the starter...it barely cranks over and then stops completely ...even with a fully charged battery...ok so i try using the kick start everything is going fine i have fire...i get tired of kicking comeback kick it almost another 50 times...and i realize something....the kick start is not turning the crank and i have no fire.....so now i have no way to even try to start it...im not going to buy a new starter for it and i can not even get the kick start cover off to look at it

If you get sick of it ill buy it.
Sounds like you need to put that battery on a trickle charger over night and give her another shot.

is the battery new or at least good, and as stated, charge it over night.
the kick starter I think will come out of the side and you can look to see what is going on there

Just a thought, are you pulling in the clutch when you kick it? At least on the 650, leave the clutch out and bike in N when kicking.

Was the kick working before? You say you put a new clutch perch on it are you sure you adjusted the cable correctly and the clutch is not disengaged? Sounds too odd that the kick is not turning the engine. Snick it into 1st and see if if you can roll it.
