Ok, I had a "duh" moment last night and left the petcock on for my bike (petcock was converted to manual). Gas got in the oil as well as overflowed onto my bike. I had to change the oil anyway so I went ahead and did that. Should there be any other signs or symptoms I should keep an eye out for that may signal oncoming problems cause by this.

I know it would not be any fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

Float valves are not meant to be fuel shutoffs but neither are they supposed to let fuel contaminate the oil in one evening.

If you changed the oil, the engine's likely fine. I'd look at the float valves and find out why they seep that much fuel in one day.

My "night" started around 6pm and I didn't start moving until noon. Would that be a reasonable explanation or should I look a little farther?
