Cam options for a 650? was created by Tyler
Other than original equipment what cam options are out there for the 650's. Can you run gpz cams or something like that, or are there aftermarket cams available? I had Delta cams do a regrind on my subaru, anyone have factory cam regrouns in a new profile? It would be cheap if anything.

If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

Check out this thread from not too long ago, kzrider.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&...11355&catid=2#211355

Not too many people have run aftermarket grinds from web or megacycle in a 650 though, most people just run gpz750 cams even though you lose you tach.

Thanks for the link, lots of info there... Hmmm looks like I have my homework assignment for the weekend.

I am planning on a 700 Wiesco overbore kit.

Isn't an 810 kit about the same price? :)

Can you fit an 810 kit into 650 jugs? Or do you need to find those ever ellusive 1980 kz750 4 cylinder jugs to swap in and then punch over?

ooh, just sold a pair of 1980 750 cylinders. Only went for $50, I was kinda disappointed.

Some 81 cylinders have provisions for the rollers chain also, but not all. Prob a mid year change. Mine came from an 81.

I believe I read on here that you just need the 750 sleeves. You can have the original sleeves pressed out and replaced with the 750 sleeves.

That seems odd. If the 750 sleeve will press in it has the same O.D. so that means it would have the same maximum bore diameter as a 650 sleeve.... Unless yuo have to cut the cylinders to press in the 750 sleeve. May be cheaper to get a 750 cylinder block.
