I have decided to put my engine back together with stock 1000cc parts. My MTC 1075cc pistons have some minor damage from hitting the valves, so I suppose they are scrap metal now.

But the .385 lift camshafts with adjustable sprockets are still in almost new condition. I will be listing them on EBay along with the Holeshot cam degreeing kit later this week.

Is anyone here interested in these items? If so, I can post pictures later today.

Sorry for the delay...

I dug up my receipt for the camshafts and it says they are Z-2 .385 lift cams. I don't know if Z-2 means the manufacturer. I purchased them from Cope Racing way back when they were still in business for over $300.

The degree kit is basically the same one Dale Walker still sells, except the instructions are on a VHS tape instead of a DVD. This kit sells new for over $250. See www.holeshot.com

I'm gonna ask $125 for the kit; $125 for the cams; including shipping on both. If no one here wants them, I will post them on EBay...

I have pictures, but they are too big to post here. Send me an e-mail address and I'll send them to you if you're interested.

I looked the cams over and they have the letters "CWC" and "EP14" on them - if anyone knows what that means (manufacturer?), please let me know...

If they are Z2 cams, I believe those were made by Cam Motion. That's a good price if they are like new.

Yes they would be Cam Motion. CWC and EP-14 are the billet manufacturer and part number.

In order to run the valves into the pistons with MTC 1075 and 385 lift cams. you have had to have them way out of time.

I imagine the pistons would be fine. Show us a picture of them. You should really try to do this again and pay someone to0 degree the cams. You would be really happy with that combo.

Jay,

Thanks a bunch for confirming who made those cams. I had figured this set up would work good, but obviously I don't have the smarts to deal with adjustable cams.

Also, something made the engine lose compression and the rings on those pistons look trashed so they are most likely the culprit.

I am going to put the engine back together with a stock cylinder block and stock pistons and stock cams. I just got all those parts on Ebay and I'm getting them ready to install.

No more high-performance stuff for me...

OK, but don''t trash the pistons just yet. They may be OK.

Yes, I think the pistons are definitely salvagable. They just need new rings. The spot where the valves hit are no where near the edge. If anyone wants to make an offer on them, I can try to post some pictures.

The Camshafts were sold to the first person who sent me an offer.

Does anyone want the Dale Walker Holeshot cam degree kit? $125 including shipping...

If not I'll throw it on EBay later this week...
