Oh my... was created by JerseyBomber
Ok so the bike's frame swap is done. Im in the process of replacing the oil pan (self-inflicted damage) and I nearly have a kitten when I look in the old pan. Little chunks of orange stuff and one big flake. Many little flakes and pieces of aluminium. Where is this stuff from??? What parts of the engine could shed pieces like this and still be ok? Is a teardown necessary or do I ride the piss out of her?

Thanks
Craig

Cam Chain and guides. A loose cam chain can saw into the head and engine block like, well, like a chain saw.

Any noises, ticking, rattling, squealing?

If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

The orange stuff may be adhesive used to hold the magnets in the rotor. It can be a no biggie as long as any magnets dont come loose.....I have yet to see one do that...chris3
