Knowledge Needed

Just bought my first bike. 81' KZ750LTD I need some help with the carbs. The guy i bought it from said the previous owner had either put carbs from a 1000cc on it or rejetted it with 1000cc size jets. He really seemed like he had no idea what he was talking about. So how can I ID which carbs are on the bike. They are MIKUNI but other than that I dont know what bike they are for. Let me back up, the reason I am asking is because around 4500 it seems to be over fueling, when decelerating it pops and crackles a ton and hesitates to takeoff again at first. Also taking off from a stop isnt very smooth. It acts like a switch on or off no in between. It idles great, and runs hard from 5k on up. So how do i figure out what carbs they are, so i can either rejet, or just put the stock ones back on?

If you have the stock set, I would put those back on. If not maybe someone can on kzrider can help you tweak those to work for you. Congratulations on you first bike! Ride safe
