Seems like the swap would be the easiest, quickest way to go for now. My 2 cents.

kind of what i thought, id like to get it up and running so i can enjoy it, then the playing around with the motor can com later. for now the goal is to get it going down the road on its own power lol.

i saw that one too, but i didnt care for the looks of the bearings much. kind of looks like it may need to be rebuilt, and if thats the case i just as well rebuild mine.

well heres the latest. i bought the parts bike from the guy in omaha. he wanted the $500 plus my old motor so he could rebuild it. think i did ok here. its only got 10k on it and looks to be pretty sound.. the bad news is im off today and all my buddies are working so noone to help me get it out of the freaking truck. but i am making it lighter by stripping it don so i can pull the motor and put it right into the other frame while i have the guys here. it came off a 82 csr, so it looks like im getting csr side covers cuz they are in mint condition, lol. after i strip the stuff i want off it ill post it up so everyone else can scavenge off it too. pretty good wheels and stuff. more to come.

im hoping, i got the engine out of the csr and into mine. just have the motor mounts and electrical hooked up before the wife felt it was time to come in from the garage, but hoping tomm at this time, shell be purring along, wish me luck.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
