I have been offered this bike, but have not seen it yet.

Is the engine block the same as the 1,000 cc J motor?
Or is it an entirely 'smaller' motor?

Any general info on this bike will be appreciated.

Totally different motor, 1000 block is longer (left to right) than the 750 block.

Double check on what the year of this bike might be...my info (and it has been wrong in the past:laugh: ) suggests the last year of manufacture was 1984.

It is titled a 1985. In Florida that could mean when the dealer first sold it.
I have not seen it yet.
Does anybody know about its reliability or weak areas?

As far as weak areas go, it don't have 130 hp :D

Other than that, nothing bad
