If your talking about winding it out you would want to shift at the RPM where maximum torque is produced. My bike's redline is 9500 but max torque is I believe 8-8500.

1980 KZ650F1, Bought new out the door for $2,162.98!

I've been shifting around 6-6500 RPM. Where's the maximum torque for the 750 (738cc) motor?

Maximum Torque 6.4 kg-m at 7500 rpm

Although I think you would want to wind it high enough to where you would be at that rpm after you shifted for maximum acceleration.

But if you are talking about normal street riding, why would you want to use max acceleration all the time? I shift my 750 twin at 3k rpm or so, that gives me sufficient acceleration to out run the cars, and it will make the motor last a whole lot longer. Plus it gets really good fuel mileage doing that :)

And I don't use full throttle.
