Oil fouled spark plug...

I have one oil fouled spark plug..I don't have the money to get it worked on right away. I was wondering if I replaced the spark plug with a hotter spark it would be a temporary fix until I can get the work done?

Spark plugs are in Heat range ,, That means Not a hotter spark but how fast it cools ,, So yes a hotter spark plug will help for awhile depends on how bad your oil problem is ,,

it's not terrible but I still don't like it. I'm getting the bike worked on sometime in the next couple weeks...depends on when I get my tax return. I guess it will work just until I get it fix then.

I have seen it smoke a bit during idle but it seems to go away after a bit. I have not seen this to often though. Just every once in a while. All my other spark plugs have normal carbon buildup but this plug is black all the way up the threading. I got a repair manual for it and it said it was oil fouling. I'm not a bike mechanic so I could be wrong. I have had days where it seems to run perfect and days where it would start to miss fire. I figured a hotter plug might be a temporary fix so I can ride still. I don't know how hot to go though. Standard plugs for my bike (kz750-e) are NGK B8ES. Yet I also don't want to damage the engine if I get a hotter plug.

im trying to diagnos your fouling problem.if it smoked under load or when you back off throttle i would guess rings, but if it does it while idling i would lean towards a bad valve guide seal. ;)

It's not smoking under idle at all actually. Only when I give it gas would it smoke at all but it would eventually stop. I'm guessing cause I burned the oil that was in there away. Like I said before..it's not something that happens often. Only when it sits for a to long when I'm doing a lot of overtime at work. I try and start it up every other day or so when it's not to late at night.

Thanks for all the help by the way!
