Installed Derale oil cooler today on 77 KZ1000. Started bike and noticed was leaking oil (flowing) from the Base of the Inlet and Outlet fittings bolted to the engine. There was not any gaskets that I saw on the Oem fitting just O Rings. I installed the new fittings the same way, Outlet ( the one with the oil sw) closes to the starter cover. Inlet closes to the Cylinder block. Not sure if both were leaking form the base or not. Should I re-install using RTV gasket maker. Any suggestions would be great. Engine and fitting bases seem to be flat.

did you use new O rings? could you have pinched an O ring when you installed the new fittings(its easy to do) some yamabond sealer should fix it if o rings check out good.
