My starter seems to turn the motor at less than typical speed . It also make a dry bearing sound (couldn't think of a better descrip ) . Are these starters serviceable or do I just change it . What other starters may fit , I have a few exras from my KZ550's ? Thanks for any help .

The one for my 750 twin is rebuildable and I saw two rebuilt starters for mine on ebay recently.

The rebuild kits may be hard to find.

I have taken mine apart before and polished the commutator and cleaned and relubed the bearings and gears. That might perk yours up.
