Where is my Oil Filter was created by triggerbilly
I have a kz750-E 1982
I'm waiting for my manual to arrive, I bought a new oil filter today and just had a quick look at the bike and can't find where the oil filter should go
I'm pressuming it's one of the 2 bolts right underneath the bike ???????? Am I right ????????

Yes, you have 2 17mm head bolts, one all alone further farward is the drain plug, one further towards the rear of the engine that is securing a round cover is the filter.

Remove the drain plug first and then remove the filter cover, keep the pan there as more oil will still come out. Messy, messy...

Not that it matters, but you can drain the filter first or second. If you take the filter off first, it's oil will drain, and all remaining oil will stay in the pan, and conversely when you drain the pan any oil in the filter will still be there. Two entirely different drains. I always drain the pan first, but it really makes no difference.
