Another dumb question?

Hey, is there supposed to be something other than rubber boots over the two ports on top of the valve covers towards the front of the engine. I did not know if there were to be breathers there also or vacuum lines, etc.

Thats part of the egr system, there are supposed to be hoses going to them providing vaccuum from a carb port but since it's a older bike, they most likely don't work any longer so get an apropriate size hose and link both sides together with one hose. and find the carb vaccuum port and seal it since it might be open now
