just as the title says what is the differance between the famous J model and a P model?

call me crazy but i like to live dangerously and mix the 2 myself!oh mototorcycles you say?sounds kind of messy but i suppose if you balance it right and shift without the clutch you could eat one on a motorcycle! :S :laugh: anyway a general term for a kawasaki police bike is a P series.the J model is the series that began around late 81 early 82 i believe.it was the sucesser (spell check) to the z1-kz series bikes.you can get P series J motored bikes also,now im confused!NURSE:laugh:

this is a 78 P series bike,i cant devulge the name of rider/owner for risk of having my house burned down !:laugh:there ya see !its so classified the picture wont even come up!:laugh:

same answer the differances are between the kz and j series in the motors although i believe the P series bikes had a little better charging system to go with extra load o systemB)

As far as I know (and please correct me if I´m wrong) all the P models (P1-P24 1982-2005) have J engines. The early Police models (1978-81) are not "P" models as such, they´re called C1-C4 and have KZ 1000 engines.
