I have a 1980 kz750e. I was wondering whats the best oil and plugs for the tune up? Where to get them and is there anything else i should get anything to put in the gast tank or carb cleaner?

Oil would be any premuim grade 10-30 or 10-40 in hot weather. castrol GTX is decent, Rotella is very good, Castrol Synthetic is what I use. I think syns are better, not absolutely necessary. Change the filter too.

I don't remember the plug type for yours, should be in the owners manual. Z1 will likely carry them.

Fuel cleaners like Sea Foam (get it at Pep Boys) is good. If it's been a while, take the tank off and remove the petcock. Rinse the tank with mineral spirits or clean gas. Clean the petcock and replace the inline fuel filters. Remove the carb bowls and clean the sediment out of them.

I would use 10w-40 oil for this reason. 10w-40 does not have the additives that make an oil "Energy Conserving"

Those additives can make a wet clutch slip, and I think all 10w-30 oils have it.

Whatever oil you buy, make sure it does not have an Energy Conserving logo.

Some 10-30's don't have that, not sure if most do but it's probably a good idea to avoid the ones that have it.
