I'd advise against getting aluminum pieces chromed. Polish those and clearcoat them. Chrome doesn't seem to want to stick to aluminum...

Chrome sticks to aluminum like sh*t to a blanket if the piece is properly prepped and plated.Think of plating as you would body & paint work- the prep work will determine quality of finish. And the know how as to the racking and current...There's lots of folks out there who don't know how. Platingmaster in London Ontario has chromed all my aluminum stuff for 30 years and no problems.Find a shop that knows how and you'll be fine

I think i found them brownsplating.com . They seem to be a very good at plating motorcycle parts. They even have a price list for specific bike parts. My valve cover kz650 is 141.00 not to bad.
