This is my kz I recently go up and going. It has a sportster style rear fender, changed headlight, shortened rear shocks, and the exhaust was cut off at the bottom of the motor. All of this was done when I got it, I had to clean the carbs and doing a bit of wiring (or cleaning up wiring rather) and she is up and going. It is a very very comfortable ride, just extremely loud. and the #1 carb overflow tube is cracked so I think I need a new bowl for #1. The engine however runs very very nice, I just don't want to cause any problems by running it with the exhaust like this.

650 and 750 engines have the same size and spacing for exhaust ports.

Here are some possible repair options for the cracked overflow tube, any one of which just might work, at least temporarily.

Shrink tubing.

Thin- wall tight-fit plastic tubing.

Solder.

JB Weld.

Good Luck! :)

650 till 82 (last year I think), 750 till 85 (including GPz750), and ZR7 (somewhere in the 98-2002 range, whatever years they were manufactured, air cooled 750 four).

If it's not an air cooled 650-750, it won't fit without modification. At least one member has bent Zx6 or Zx7 pipes to fit, but I can't remember who.
