You might want to check out this thread kzrider.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&...9383&catid=11#209383

Gorack just finished a similar mod to his bike. If you are looking for a stock sportbike can let me know. I have one from a 2006 Z7 that I could measure for you. I bought it thinking it was the exhaust for a ZR7. If you already have the header pipes it might work for you.

monsterman21, A few years ago a friend of mine gave me a Yoshi competition can. I took it to work and made (I'm a mechanic and also the "exhaust" guy, access to pipe bender, etc) a 2 1/2" upswept pipe, welded can on, made bracket to fit to Kerker's bracket. Can swap out mufflers in 10 minutes, quite a bit louder and looks pretty cool too. Almost any sportbike muffler which handles a 105HP 600cc (for example) can easily handle our meager 62HP. Stock cans will be real quiet but flow great. If you want noise then you'll have to look for something like my can.

Might be wrong, but seem to recall the Yoshi exhaust system must be removed to change the oil filter. Just a consideration.

Good Luck! :)

I have a Yosh 4/1 on my 79 650SR. My setup has a joint just before the oil filter cover. All I have to do is remove one bolt and slip the rear section of the pipe off. Quite painless.

I bought a one piece yoshi pipe off ebay. It was from a 600 ninja. I did a little cutting and welding and it now works great on my 550!! I don't need to remove it for an oil filter chenge either:) If you or someone you know can cut and weld it was pretty simple

I know from past experience that the can off a 94 fzr600r will bolt right up to a MAC 4-1 header, and it didn't require any cutting/welding to get the can bolted up to the rear mounts on the bike either.
