black or chrome

Does anyone have any pictures of bikes with black or chrome exhaust? I'm buying a new kerker and i'm not sure about the color yet. I've always had chrome. I'm painting the bike a very very dark blue. i think the black might go well with it. Any suggestions and or pictures?

Personally, I like contrast, dark body/bright running gear (engine, exhaust, wheels), or bright body dark running gear.

To me, a mono bike, all dark or all black, is just a blank spot.

Maybe I'm just weird :D :D

I agree with steell on this one. If the chrome is nice, the the dark color will make that chrome pop...B), and IMHO, the chrome will compliment the dark color of the bike.

I agree also, my bike is dark blue with black engine and black Kerker. I wish when I bought my pipe that I'd gone with chrome (same price 27 years ago) My polished covers really stand out with the dark contrast. The "chrome" Kerker would look really good now. But you be the judge..

Depending on your color of blue and engine color would determine on the contrast. Here is my 77 with a black Kerker.

Another thing about black pipes: wherever you ding them it really shows because the silver steel against the black. If you ding chrome it isn't as noticable.

Black exhaust runs cooler and wont turn blue but it will need to be repainted occasionally.I like my chrome but getting the blue off is almost a full time job.

I got this wonderful chrome pipe from the junk yard that I just loved, then crashed the bike and dented the crap out of it.

Now looking at the pics of the bikes with the black pipes, it makes me want to paint it black.

Mine's been black for 20+ years.
I think if I bought a new one, I'd go chrome now.

I know it isn't a KZ650. But black with chrome exhaust (dark with light running gear).

alright, lot's of pics... well this is a tough decision for me. i bought that V&h system in 1999.. i was thinking black, but now i'm not sure. i did just purchase some new chrome items to put on the bike that are currently black. i did just get a 81 kz750 cylinder jugs and it's black. i'm thinking chrome.. i think you guy's are right about the highlights if the bike is dark. still don't know though. QDude- is your header black with a chrome baffle?

please keep the picks and opinions coming..

thanks..
