1976 kz900 bored to 1035. What carbs? was created by BARNEYHYPHEN
Just about to rebuild my 76 kz900 with 1015 block honed to 70.25mm, new pistons & rings. Everything else stock. Also rinning 26mm carbs.
IfI want to make the most of the bigger bore, what size carbs would I be best advised to use. Thanks.

28's are stock carbs for many KZ's. The 26's where a pollution control device, I think. Go for a set of 28's at least. If you can get a set of 29mm smoothbores, do it. Your 26's will work fine, but for some more oomph bigger carbs are the ticket.
