Just to add to the continuing accretion of knowledge regarding what years of 750 blocks and heads will work with the roller cam chain of the 650's.

I pulled the top end off a 81 KZ750H motor today (at least according to Zedder it's a 81 750H serial number, and it's not black), and discovered that it too has the provisions for the roller chain guides in the block, and the holes for the top roller chain sprocket (tapped and ready to use) on the head. Based on the condition of the cylinders/pistons, and of the cam chain guides, I'm confident that the cylinders and head have not been replaced in the past.

I have personally verified the following.

1980 KZ750E will work.
1981 KZ750H will work.
1983-85 GPz750 will not work.

Cab anyone else add personal verified info to the above?

Maybe someone will take this info and create an article for the Filebase or something :)
