Trustworthy Mechanic for KZ1000P in Los Angles Area???

Hey Everyone,
I just bought a 1993 KZ1000P and wanted to have someone tune it up and give it a once over. The clutch is slipping and the starter seems to be going bad. Can anyone recommend someone in LA that's trustworthy enough not to rip off a novice? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

buy alot of BEER and BBQ fixins and be nice to Retrorocketricerider and the rest of the South Cali foks on here.

Mostly get some Beer and BBQ fixins and have them all show up at RRRR's house and have a BBQ and bike fixin party.

Los Angeles is a pretty spread out city. Roughly where in L.A. are you located?

If you can get your bike out to Whittier, take it to Whittier Fun Center (14043 E. Whittier Blvd. / 562-945-3494 or 562-945-3495) and talk to Stan Udell (he's the service manager).
They've been working on Police bikes as long as I can remember (as far back as '84 when I worked there in the parts dept.), and are probably about the only Kawi dealership in So Calif that will touch the older KZ's.

I know that Mid Cities Honda works on a fair amount of those. Never had mine there. But I always see one layin around their garage.
