Have spark and fuel but no start on number one barrel

Hi Guys,

Have just started the ol' girl after a few months and its only running on three cylinders. Have checked carbie and spark and thats all fine, what should I check next?

When you pull the plug is it wet?

How old are the plugs/wires?

Any lose connections in and around your coils?

What are your compression numbers?

Have you checked the timing?

Is your valve clearance all in spec?

Just changed over spark plugs and guess what!!!
Mmmmmmm I am quite well known to panic without thinking!

Yeah I redid the wiring on my old mans international tractor, an old 300U. I triple checked everything but just could not get it to fire... new coil, new alt, new d-cap and wires, reset the timing, fresh battery and new wires through the whole machine.


Then he came out, changed the plugs.... and to this day says he "fixed it"
