Hey 2WT-What is the objective of using the cams from the 750 Turbo? Are you looking for more bottom end grunt or top end power? Would you be fitting them into the 650 head with the existing springs and valves?
Since I am just starting my 650 to 810 project I'll be curious to hear what others have to say on this one.

If you have a KZ650 then your cams have identical specs to the GPz750 Turbo cams :D

If you want to increase top end hp at the expense of low and midrange hp, the the standard 83-85 GPz750 cams are the ones you want.
You will lose the tach drive though, the 83-85 GPz750 has an electronic tach.
I posted the cam specs in the old forum, so it's in the archives.
Personally, I think the 83-85 GPz750 cams would be ideal in an 810 :)

Here is a thread with the 650, 750, and 82 GPz750 cams specs listed, I'm still looking for the one I posted.

Hey guys. Thanks for the replies! :)

I wasn't aware of the specs on the cams being the same as mine! haha Guess that get's rid of that idea. ;)

I'll hunt down the others instead.

As for what I want, I just want a little more grunt all over the powerband, thats all. I'm going big bore and p&p, so Justin and I were talking and he recommended I get cams in there for some added bang, which was a good idea.

Thanks Steell

Reborn, I don't really have an answer. I have no idea of the specs on a lot of these stock cams. I know WEB-CAM Performance makes some nice setups. Check out their webpage for info! :)

I was wondering the same thing when I came across these, but they look to not be gpz because of the tach drive. "The ebay listing is 750 gpz tubo cams"

From the deep recesses of my mind i seem to recall that with a turbo you don't need a radical cam. That means the turbo is pushing boucoup air through the cylinders and doesn't have to rely on lift and duration to get the air/gas mixture in the cylinders.
Look for a cam with tighter lobe seperation to get faster valve action. I may not be adding any thing to this post, just thought it would give you something to think on. Roy
