Hello I'm abouot to finish up my winter redo on my 83 750 twin. I would like to check the timing before I call the job done.
How do I do this?
Thanks.

You can use a timing light hooked to either cylinder and aimed at the timing advancer, but the timing on your bike is not adjustable anyway. Unless someone has taken off the electronic ignition and installed points.

Check the timing advancer and make sure it rotates freely by rotating the rotor counter clockwise and check to see if it snaps back when you release it.
