take a deep socket and cut windows in both sides, then you can use a c-clamp and a small magnet;)

I just made one yesterday. instead of cutting a socket, you could cut the shaft off one of those screwdriver handle drum brake tools and affix the remaining tool piece to the c clamp. i was pleasantly surprised with how well it worked.
I started out with nothing, and still have most of it...

Why cut up a socket when a piece of pipe will work just as well?

I don't have pics handy, but I cut piece of 1" galvanized steel water pipe about 2.5" or 3" long, then used a hack saw to cut slots in either side of it, about 2/3 of the length of the piece. I glued this to the swivel on an 8" C clamp, and glued a rubber "puck" to the other contact point on the clamp. The steel pipe didn't stay glued to the swivel, but I didn't mind, you just have to line stuff up correctly. I found it worked best if I held the head on my lap while I was doing the operation.

I too used a piece of 1" pipe. Though I had to use a bench grinder to shave off some of the outside to get it to fit into the valve well.

I'd post a pic, but I'm not at home this week. If I remember when I get home, I post one.
