I need an engine stand for my 78 K1000 I am planing to pull the engine out of the frame..

78 KZ1000 work in progress in Hacienda Heights California and a 82 KZ1100 Spectra And a 1992 ZX11.

Yep. Get a cheapo at Harbor Freight, take it and a set of cases to the welding shop and have them fab one up for you.

Got one of those too. Nice thing about the Kz and Zx11 engines (the only two I had in that stand) is you can flip them up side down and split the cases. Matter of fact you can split the cases on a Zx11 without tearing apart the topend. Makes it nice to rotate whatever side you're working on to be on the top.

That's the ticket! I had a friend weld mine up for me. I measured and cut the pieces of flat bar that came with the stand, and helped hold while he tacked it together. It works great!

1981 GPz1100, Wiseco 1170 Kit, BS34 carbs; #40 Pilot and #140 Main, UNI Filters, APE main and cylinder studs, DYNA S, DYNA Coils, and lots of hours. Working towards Megasquirt/Turbo one day!!!

My window hoist hasn't bee too busy lately so I adapted it for temporary recreational duty.
