.
A site member has informed me that he has a 750 motor that he is parting out. I sent back a reply to get the year.
What are the chances I may be able to use the 750's ignition parts i.e. cover, advancer/mounting bolt, rotor, timing plate, wiring and oil pressure switch.
Likely, not likely, depends on year?

According to Kawasaki.com, a 650's breaker plate assembly and advancer will only fit the following...
KZ650-B1 (1977)
KZ650-B2 (1978)
KZ650-B2A (1978)
KZ650-B3 (1979)
KZ650-D1 (SR) (1978)
KZ650-D1A (SR) (1978)
KZ650-D2 (SR) (1979)
KZ650-E1 (LTD) (1980)
KZ650-F1 (1980)
But I would think that the 750 ign parts would fit as they are externally, basically the same motor?

I would think it's a function of the year. I, for one have put 650 ignition pick-ups in my 80 750 LTD.

You will be able to use them.
I first put a KZ1000 elec. Ign on my bike. Just needed to make the pick ups plate smaller to fit. See the KZ1000 elec link in my signature. It explains the wiring etc.
You'll need the IC Igniter as well.
I now have a 650CSR '80s vintage pick up plate in, which is a dirrect fit, of course.
Also have a GPZ750 plate with pick ups, which is the same size.
The 650 and 750's bottom end are basically the same.

For some reason, the latest Kaw electronic ignitions won't fit into the ealier motors. If it has mechanical advance, then it should be swappable. Those can be identified by the round timing plate.
The later style electronic-advance ignitions supposedly won't fit into the older motors because the ignition plate is larger (and no longer round). Apparently the newer motors have a slight difference in the casting of the ignition area on the engine case. I was told this, but haven't personally investigated it myself.
