clutch push rod seal oil leak
20 Feb 2008 09:15
Hello All.
So after looking around this forum and the Kawasaki Twin Owners Forum, I've come to the conclusion that my oil leak is probably the clutch push rod seal. I tried to open up the clutch cover case yesterday but it's been so long since it was opened that the screws were stripping. I've contacted Z1 about a tappet set and a new screw set.
Until then, can I possibly slow the leak by adjusting the clutch in anyway?
When the clutch is properly adjusted, is there supposed to be any drag when switching gears? I guess, what's it supposed to feel like?
And finally, I read something where Odd Ivar said he glued a new seal over the original push rod seal so he wouldn't have to split the engine. What type of material/glue is best to use?
