Sorry its not kawasaki related. Recently purchased a 1975 honda xl250. It is kinda a multi-purpose 4-valve 4-stroke bike. Well it runs good, but doesnt shift right. You have to hold it down into gear for it to move. If you let off, it slips right back into neutral. But, when I hold it all the way down and ride, I dont think its even in first because it bogs when you take off, and seems to be a fairly tall gear(possibly 3rd). Previous owner said that the new clutch just wasnt installed right and should be an easy fix. Any ideas, could the clutch even be the problem?
