clutch pushrod help was created by jordan
As Im finishing up my motor build I am putting on the last few bits and bolts. I was going to place on my clutch cover today when I noticed there was just a hole in the block where the clutch arm mechanism would sit in front of. My first reaction was WTF!!! I went over to another one of my kz's and noticed a rod protruding from the black where the hole is. I have discovered that this rod is called the clutch pushrod. When I get one to put in, can it be done with no dissambly? I would hate to split the cases after I just finally got the motor together!

did you comepletely dismantle the motor?there is a "pusher"i guess yu would call it that the pushrod pushs against inside the motor and a ball bearing that goes in between.as long as the pusher and ball bearing are installed you can put the rod in without splitting cases;)

If this is on your 82750(twin?), then the ball bearing is installed on the clutch side. I'm pretty sure the plate pusher is on the clutch side also. Either way you shouldn't have to split the cases.

It is the 4 cylinder 750 motor for my streetfighter project. I never took apart the cases at all. Just happened to notice it was missing. If i pull the rod from another motor i have, does it just simply pull out? To reinstall it do you just simply push in the ball bearing, followed by the rod?
