I just did a overhaul on my 79 KZ750 twin... learn from my misery:

to get Kawi part numbers, go to Bike bandit and use their OEM parts finders.

Flea Bay has some amazing buys on NOS parts which pop up at random. Scan there daily...

Bike bandit is OK for OEM parts, but babbitt'sonline.com is a bit cheaper.

The athena aftermarket gasket sets are marginal, but the only set I found. Don't trust their cylinder base gasket (make your own or be sorry later) or get an OEM gasket from Flea Bay's sellers.

I got some brand new kawi NOS piston and ring sets from www.cyclewareables.com for $36 each which is like stealing. They carry the 750 twin piston/ring sets in stock and oversized sizes.

Good luck on the overhaul, hope you have a service manual.

The kerker-style 2-1 I put on mine added a few horses, don't bother with the MAC header they are crap.

Never tried pods.
