I got a set of cams from ebay a that were supposed to be V&H, but they're not, they look like weld and regrinds, so i did some measureing with a simple caliper, the stock cams are .306 lift and measured 1.400 from bottom to top of lobes, the GPZ cams .354 are at 1.430 and the new cams are at 1.480 and seem to have a lot of duration, any idea what the lift would be ?

Take the total measurement from top to bottom of lobe and than take the measurement from side to side. Subtract the second from the first and subtract about .01" that should give you a good idea.

If you want an accurate measurement, just rest the cam on a couple of V blocks (make some wooden ones) and position a dial indicator above it. Point the lobe down and set the dial indicator on the base of the lobe, rotate the cam and see what the highest reading is.

You can pick up a cheap dial indicator and magnetic base at Harbor Freight if you don't already have one, you need it to dial in cams anyway :)
