cam chain check and adjust???

How easy on a scale of 1-5 is it to check and adjust the cam chain?
I can do basic maintenance stuff and have taken the head off a car, checked the valve clearances on a car etc but this would be the furthest I’ve delved into a bike engine!!!

Depends on the bike. On my 750 twin it's very easy because there is a tensioner that is adjustable from the outside of the engine. Not sure if all engines are that generous.

Best bet is to invest in the Kawasaki Factory Service Manual fo your specific model. That will give full details, with pics, of this and other service items. What year/model bike do you own? Ed

It should be an automatic tensioner, no adjustment required. Located back side of cylinders (middle) just below carbs.
