750 twin float's was created by kzl6060
I have gotten my 750 twin back together and while adjusting the fuel level in the float bowl, found the reason it was not adjusting right. (Fuel was coming out overflow when on the side stand). Had hole in the float and they filled with gas. Under the (Don't attempt this at home) catagory, I heated up the float with my mini torch to find the hole. I found the hole and found that the fuel would come out quicker when heated. Guess what happens when it gets to hot. Thats right POW right out of my hands. Blew the end of it right off. Nobody hurt but after several hours of trying to repair the damage there is no hope for this set of floats. So I was hoping that someone might have an old set of carbs or floats for a 76-79 750twin that I might purchase. Any help would be appreciated. And yes I get the DUMBass award.

Holy cow... this one belongs over in that "Note to self" thread... ;)

Sorry, I don't have any floats to spare.

Also, I just went and checked at bikebandit.com.... looks like they cannot get floats anymore for this model either...

glad nobody got hurt, that could have really been bad.

I have seen various places parting out old 750 twins so the floats are definitely out there somewhere.

It's been my experience people only sell the carbs as a set because once you take any piece off them, they are basically worthless.

Evil Bay is a place to watch.
