Z200: missing cam chain tensioner

still havent seen my Z200 which cost me the grand total of $107.50: havent had the time to go see my father who is keeping it in the garage at his place.

anyway he said the cam chain tensioner is missing, now im not that familiar with these types of things but from what I gather appart from it obviously needing one to run this is going to cause problems?

chances are bits of crap are going to be all through the engine now and its not going to be a case of "slap one on and start er up".

any advice would be appreciated to if its a throw away...

I'm not sure what year your 200 is but checking the number for a cam chain tensioner at the Kawasaki site for an 1981 250 LTD gives me the part # 12049-1055. I checked to see which models used this tensioner and they list the following models.
