i know ape sells a rebuild kit for the kz basket. has any of you done this?
i hear it is not something i should attempt myself.
people have told me if i am a mm off, it will shake like hell. and how did you peen the rivets?

i also hear people put kz baskets in a j motor.
is this possible?
the only reason i'm asking is ape has a 3-4 week turn around on the basket and i want my damn motor together now!
plus, kz1000megasquirt and i took his motor apart tonight and his basket is pooched also.
now we need two.
damn Achilles heel of a kz motor!
someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.
