the bike was not running when I got it, in my friends garage for 10 years payed $300 for it and it's a work in progress, new fuel tank should be here in about two weeks, I need to do touch up paint work on it and it still needs brakes front and back. has new clutch, seat, handlebars, mirrors, tires, modified turn signals front and back, any comments or suggestions will be very thankful.

Nice! Really like it. How much did you end up using after? Also, how wide is it? I love the black wrap, where did you pick it up after?

it's 2 inch by 50 feet, used it all, got it at autozone. got the straps and silicone sealer at advance auto (they were on the preformance row at both stores.

wrap $50
silicone coating $8 (need 2 cans)
locking straps $14 (pack of 8)
hope this helps

I think it looks great.
Got a question for you though... the Thermo-Tec kit instructed me to prepare my header and paint it first, then wrap, then paint the finished wrapped pipes afterward for protection... Did you paint the wrapped pipes afterward?

didn't get the kit. I cleaned the pipes then wrapped them then painted the wrap. I need to do touch up paint on them because the remount rubbered some of the paint thin.

No paint on the pipe itself? Aren't you worried about rust? I've read that moisture collects in there...
