Thanks for the compliments Aric...Yeah I got a killer deal . The ebay ad had one bad picture and a vague , incomplete text . I didn't ask questions because I didn't want the seller to add info . I took a chance (and a 14hr. roundtrip) and it paid off .
I intend to refininsh it in ELR colors with a GPz fairing and front fender .
It's a 1980 KZ550 "B" , originally sold in Germany . The carbs are Keihin CR29's . Also has cams , porting , light crank and .050" overbore(580cc ?). The wheels are PVM's , shocks are Koni , swingarm and triple clamps are WiWo . The forks look to be GPz1100 parts . They also used nice hardware on most of the bike . The builder must have ran out of time , money or patience when the got to the muffler and rearsets ( I'll use stock GPz parts for the rearsets) .
