I'm to old for that kind of horsepower. close on 20 years ago I rode a cousins FJ1200 which reputedly had 120hp. One night was enough. Any more and I would have killed myself .

you could part it out and double your money.i think the Power rating is kinda high.it might be makin 120 when its in tune.

I think it's worth that but I would offer less. I'd say ok $1500 minus everything it will take to get it road worthy.

with snow on he ground he may just want it gone. But you'll probably get it for 1000-1200, i wouldn't pay anymore than that, if that.

Yeah, I tried less but he wont budge, it has got a lot going for it but it does need work and im not sure I want to spend that much on something not running.

Can't say anything about Hp or $$ Value. I am working on my 1978 GS1000 that sat since 1992 in a unheated garage. Engine overhaul due to rust pitted cylinder sleeves and valve seats. Brakes were completly trashed. Only thing saveable was the front caliper, because it was embalmed in fork oil. All else was pitted beyond saving. didn't want to trust 30yr. old rubber parts either. Sounds like you should be OK on the motor.

1978 Suzuki GS1000: Indexed,trued, welded crank, 1085 kit, Mikuni RS34 carbs, K&N pods, V&H 4-1 with comp. baffle.

2005 Yamaha Roadstar Warrior 1700: Patrick Racing Big Air Kit, Speedstar 2-1 exhaust.
