97 kz 1000 motor in a 74 z1 frame was created by oldkaws4ever
a member on here has a 1997 kz 1000 motor out of a cop bike, i was wondering if it would be possoble to fit it into my 74 z1 900 frame??

The motor will fit but you will have to make up different mounts. The J motors have two in the front and one in the back or something like that. It can and has been done so it's not too big of a deal.

yes it will fit and line up. I have done the conversion.
there is a lot of work involved. I'd put it at a 7 on a scale of 1-10 for difficulty.

pipe -yes
if you have vm26 or vm28 the carb mounting insulator mount holes may need to be elongated. but a set of larger cv carbs will be a great improvement for street riding.
