I ran a MTC 1327 10.5:1 on the street and used 36mm carbs. I would recommend going with 40"s. I changed the starter to a Honda CB900 custom and that fixed the starting issues even when it got hot. The max temp for riding was about 80 degrees outside. If you were in any stop and go traffic with the air temp higher than 80 the motor got real hot. The biggest trick is to change the starter. The stock starter is fine when the bike is cold or slightly warmed up. Worst case thing is you have to push start.

I do not know the temperature of the motor, but when the temp was over 80 and had some stop and go traffic the motor would start to loose power which meant it was starting to get to hot and possibly seize up.

Thanks. Can u go for long rides when the temp is below or at 80*? Is your 1327cc a 1975 crank or a bigger pin crank?

The crank is a welded 900 crank with a big center pin by pearson racing. The lower cases are studded and also I used the main cap support plate. If it is below 80 I had no problems with it.

The crank was purchased through Schnitz racing. I gave them a good core and then they gave me a new rebuilt crank with big center pin.
