motor problems!

i picked up a 82 kz550A last weekend.. story i got was guy bought the bike from a friend but couldnt get it running so he let it sit outside for a year without the carbs!!!! so needles to say i cant the jugs off....

heres my question can i swap over stock 650 jugs and pistons?..

and also iv tryed seaching for a 4-1 exhaust but cant seem to find any used ones. could i use a 650 exhaust or a newer exhaust system?.. i have a zx600d parts bike and the exhaust would work but the flanges arent in the right place

there are several threads on here about putting the 6 speed 550 gears in a 650 tranmission,, this is one.
But haven't seen anything about putting the 650 cylinders on a 550. My guess would be that the crank spacings would be different on them.
