took about an hour, followed the Clymer manual to the "t".


lots of carbon like i suspected.

All of the cam caps are numbered, so make sure not to mix them up. You going to send out the head for rebuild? The cam chain can be replaced without splitting the cases. Z1 Enterprises sells the master link and tool. Now would be the time to do it.

Im talking to the guys at Redline Cycle, might be sending the carbs and head over to them. They have worked on several kz's over the years and are highly reccomended. If nothing else the carbs may be sent to Wired.

Also plan on using a 1 piece gasket on the head to eliminate the oring gasket.
