z650 clutch question

I have an APE clutch kit for my kz650 (including springs) that I am going to be fitting shortly, I have read that the APE springs make for a heavy clutch lever.
How many guys are using the heavy duty APE kit and are the heavy duty springs ok for a street bike?

I've got a Cir Cycle heavy duty clutch in my bike and I switched the springs back to stock last Winter. After two years of a heavy clutch, I had to make it easier. I'd have to rest on longer rides because my clutch hand would get too sore. Some rides I'd have to stop two or three times to rest my hand.
Make sure your cable is smooth as well, as this adds to the problem. I ended up putting a new cable on as well because I could feel the drag on the old cable.

i have a set of "heavy duty" springs in my 650, not APE brand so i cannot comment on those specifically, but mine suck. regret that installation.:( clutch pull is way too stiff, and i never had a problem with the stock stuff, i just did not think these would be this bad.

I recently installed an APE clutch kit on my 80 650. I also used the APE roller bearing push plate. I have not found that big of a difference in cluth pull. I don't know if it's the clutch alone or combined with the other mods I did, but it wheelies much easier now.
