I have seen some pics of 900/1000 motors swapped into 750 frames.

So, if I happended upon a good cheap 750 motor is it an easy swap into a frame that was designed for the 900/1000 (pre-1981 J) motor?

I have learned a bunch here already about J motors - at least the exterior of em. I know nothing about the 750's except I see some swapping going on with 650's.

I have no need for speed, this chop only needs to keep up with Honda SOHC750's - just wondering. :)

i dont know about that, i would say they are dead even. when i was young and dumb i rode my 78' cb750f for a summer and my buddy had a 78' 650 we raced around alot and there was never a decided winner they were always about the same, that was if the honda didn't pop out of second :)
