Howdy, What size socket do I need to buy to remove the spark plug?! I tried all mine and then went to auto zone and we took what was suspose to fit my bike and got a socket for it and IT doesnt fit either! Was I spose to get a left handed socket! Joe

I think it is a 17 mm. I do know you have to use a 3/8 drive socket. Riy

Hey Riy, I believe thats what I bought at the zone. But its going to take a real thin wall socket to do the trick. Just wanted to take them out so I could crank the motor over with the starter and check the alignment of the trannie gears before I put it back in the frame. I actually figured out the alignment last night and its shifting real smooth by just turning the crank with a wrench. But, I still want one to fit! Off to the kaw dealer. Joe

18mm and a lot smaller than the 18mm i had in my set. I went to O'Rilies with my old 3/8 socket and found one that worked. Roy

Take an 18mm socket to a bench grinder and thin the walls if u need to.
